GRATITUDE IN METAPHOR AND MOVEMENT 
a Faraway is Close creativity writing experience for November
 
Inspired by stories and songs from different cultures, faraway and close and in a safe nurturing environment – a room with a view at Artisan  -  we will imagine, read, sing, dance and write short prose and lyric pieces of thanks and appreciation.

We will then deepen the play with metaphor and movement to embody some of these poems in brief skits, and write/illustrate others on squares of paper - squares of sufficiency, of thanks - using art supplies by our wonderful host, Artisan Art Supplies.

The squares with your words will displayed at Artisan during Thanksgiving week, and also posted online, on the Faraway is Close blog.

Facilitated by Shebana Coelho, an award winning writer, filmmaker, performer and founder of Faraway is Close, a new cross cultural experiential project to nurture the stories under the skin, the stories only you can tell.
